We’re incredibly proud to share that Joshua Lobb, one of our standout Support Engineers at NORSTA North, has been awarded the prestigious Australian Industry & Defence Network (AIDN) – NT Young Achiever Award for 2025!
This award recognises young professionals in the Northern Territory who are making significant contributions to Defence capabilities—particularly in strategic, remote, and regional contexts supporting Australia’s vital northern gateway. Josh’s achievement marks the second consecutive year a NORSTA team member has earned this honour — a true testament to the depth of emerging talent within our organisation.
In his role supporting the Royal Australian Navy’s Maritime Sustainment Division through the Regional Maintenance Provider–North Contract, Josh plays a critical part in keeping the fleet mission-ready. From delivering expert technical consultation during maintenance periods, to leading independent engineering investigations, developing robust technical instructions, and supporting risk management efforts, his work consistently enhances the reliability and performance of our naval vessels.
Josh’s collaborative communication style and technical proficiency have made him a trusted expert among peers, vendors, Navy personnel, and Defence stakeholders alike. His recognition by AIDN highlights the passion, professionalism, and precision he brings to every challenge — and reflects the values we proudly uphold at NORSTA.
We’re also thrilled to share that Otto Kainulainen and Jason Coates were named finalists in the Veteran Employee of the Year category — a fitting recognition of the outstanding dedication and service shown by our veteran workforce.
A heartfelt thank you to the AIDN – NT for hosting such a fantastic event. Congratulations once again to Josh, Otto, and Jason — we’re incredibly proud of your achievements and your ongoing contributions to Australia’s Defence capability.
